Dear Brethren, Friends and supporters
Last month we mentioned that we had received funds ($1200) to help pay for the shipment to Fiji of the printing equipment that we had stored in Vanuatu. The amount of funds that we had originally asked for was based on an estimate given to me by the shipping company there in Port Vila, Vanuatu. We understood that we would have to pay for the clearing of the equipment and the shipping of the equipment once it arrived in Suva here in Fiji. We had hoped to have those funds on hand from the sale of my truck there in the USA. We have been trying to sell it since we left but it has not sold.
I received the invoice for the shipping of the printing equipment yesterday and the price is almost twice what we expected. The total is Vt 204,863 = Fiji$3310 = US$2160. In Vanuatu, Goman was able to save and put together most of the equipment we had left. He also included a number of computers donated to the Bible School by friends we had known in the business community in Vanuatu. We cannot even start to clear the equipment until we have paid the shipping invoice. The equipment landed in Fiji last week and is in storage until we clear the shipping invoice. As I said I have just over half $1200.
So once again I come to you with hat in hand asking for your help toward this very urgent need. If we had sold our truck there in the USA I would not be asking for your financial help with this urgent need. But we haven't so we are! Please, Please give serious consideration to this request. We know that you are always being ask to contribute to many worthwhile needs. This printing equipment has been used by us to print Bible related materials for over 25 years here in the South Pacific and we know that with it here in Fiji and the Christian Institute of Biblical Studies much more good can be achieved for the Kingdom of God here.
Please, Please we need your financial help and your prayers. We
need at last US$1,100 and could use up to US$1,500.
