Last week I was given the results of the thyroid scan: The Lord has nodules on my thyroid and the VA has to do a nuclear scan with dye to see if the nodules are hot or not (cancer or not). This will determine the treatment I will have to have. Either way there will probably be surgery involved. I am waiting for them to schedule the additional scan.
Yesterday (Monday June 11th) we went down to the VA in Fayetteville and talked with the ortho department about my knees. Again an answer to prayer: the best possible prognosis! The x-rays did not show any random shrapnel and all the bones seem to be in good condition. They are scheduling MRI's to make sure that it is only soft tissue damage that is bothering me at this time. So the bottom line is NO surgery on my knees. Now the funny part: they ask a bunch of questions in relation to the MRI they have to schedule. One of which was "have you done welding?" and the answer was yes. At which time they send me down for a full face scan to make sure I didn't have any metal in my face skin.
So I am waiting for two appointments to be scheduled; a fuller thyroid scan and knee MRI's. I have an appointment with dermatology for a rash and possible skin cancer at the end of the month as well. So our plans are still to go back to Vanuatu in August - LORD WILLING!
I have had some ask how they can help financially on a monthly basis so I have attached an Autopay form which will allow you to have funds automatically deducted from your bank account and transferred to our bank account. It can be stopped at any time on your part. Simply fill it out, sign it and mail it back to the addresses supplied or scan it and email it back to me.
We really need your help setting up appointments to talk with people about our plans and financial needs - personally and more importantly for The Christian Institute of Biblical Studies we are building in Eton Village, Vanuatu. Please talk with the powers that be where you are and see if we can come and talk with the brethren where you meet for a one time help or monthly help. Please set it up and/or give us a name and phone number who we can call and talk with.
We really need your help!!!!!!!!! Don't think someone else will do it because they haven't yet!!!!!!!

We traded the Ford F100 truck that Chris Smith loaned us for a Dodge Dakota club cab which gives more enclosed room to take stuff on the road with us. Paul and Melonie Cline who loaned us a car, the last time we were back, have graciously loaned us this truck. Thank you Paul and Melonie!!!!! God Bless!!!!
