VOLUME 6; No. 1                                                                                    JANUARY 1983

Dear Brethren;

Greetings in the name of Jesus

$76 at McDONALD'S
In the last newsletter I forgot to tell you that the first fast food place we went into in Hong Kong was MacDonald's and we spent $76.00. They sure were good! (Oh, I forgot the dollars were Hong Kong $, 6.6 HK$ = 1 US$. About $11.50)

KIDS IN SCHOOL
We have traveled some and are scheduled to travel more but right now we are located in Joplin Mo. The children have been enrolled in the same school I attended in grade school, Royal Heights. Terasa is in 6th grade and Jason is in 3rd grade. We have already been asked to show both of their classes our artifacts and movies of Papua New Guinea.

MISSIONARY TRAVELINGS
Lord willing, the following plans stand: During January we are scheduled to report to the various congregations who contribute to our labors in and around the Joplin area. In February we plan to attend the ACU lectureship and see congregations in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Arkansas. March thru May we plan to talk with as many congregations as we can fit in the remaining weekends and Weds. nights. The kids get out of school in late May and we will be leaving soon after to go back to Indiana for a couple of weeks then back to Tulsa and on the long way back home. If you receive this newsletter and want to make sure you get to schedule us please contact me
by calling (417) 623-1280/ 624-4016.

HELPER WANTED
WANTED: Schoolteacher, retired preferred. Person or persons willing to come to mission field to tutor missionary children who are on American correspondence courses. Grades to be taught 7th-High School. If someone cannot be found before our next leave is due (1986) then we will have to leave Papua New Guinea until the kids finish High School here. When we go back this year Terasa will be on correspondence course for the 7th grade. We have several missionaries who have children of school age who may have to leave New Guinea because of the time it takes to teach children by correspondence. If we had someone on a pension who could devote their time to the Lord by teaching of children it would allow us to get on with the task we are there for. I can promise you a house and a different life style then you have ever experienced. Several missionaries have already left PNG because their children's education was too time consuming. Please, pray about this need with us. The Lord needs you

THANK YOU ALL!!
We would like to say a special thank you to you who through your financial contributions on a regular monthly basis have made it possible for us to remain and work in the Lord's vineyard in Papua New Guinea:

OUR NEEDS
Due to a recent loss of $700.00 a month support for and in the printing work we are going to be trying to secure commitments of monthly support of $1200. This amount would allow is to continue the planned printing projects upon our return in June. It would also allow us to raise our monthly support to makeup for the loss of buying power in PNG during the last two years.

In Christ
